Natalia — and the cat who started it all

I can’t picture my life without two things: travelling and animals. Animals have been with me for as long as I can remember. At home right now there’s Oscar, a sphynx cat heading into his eighteenth year.
Taking him along isn’t always possible. And every time, the same question kept nagging at me: who do I leave Oscar with? More than once I simply postponed a trip because I couldn’t find anyone who would truly care for him. In time I realised that almost everyone with a four-legged family member lives the same way.
I couldn’t bring myself to put him in a boarding facility. Oscar is far too sociable — a week in a cage would have been enormous stress for him, and I would have worried the entire time. Leaving him with someone who loves animals, who is always reachable and can send you a photo or a short video at any moment, is a completely different thing. People like that stop being just sitters: very often they become friends of the family.
Today I travel with peace of mind. I know Oscar is in good hands.
I wanted to build this service with someone as madly in love with animals as I am. And I found him — Aleksandr, my co-founder. He has a cat and a dog at home. We see life the same way and share the same principles, which is why working together comes easily. We’re building a service that stays with you and your four-legged companion at every stage of the journey — from the first day at home to old age.
That’s why My Tails, for me, isn’t just a service. It’s the chance for anyone to leave a four-legged member of the family without doubt and without worry.

Cats have been part of my life since childhood. First a wonderfully clever moggy, then a Siamese and two Thai cats. Today it’s Tosha the dachshund and Pivchik the cat. I travel a lot with them, but taking them along isn’t always an option — you can’t bring a four-legged friend on a sightseeing tour or a business trip that lasts several days.
I’ve been building software for almost twenty years — and MyTails is the first product I built for my own family. Every feature starts with the same question: would we trust this with our pets?
That’s why sitters pass identity checks before their very first booking, you get photo reports while you’re away, and payment is held safely until the service is complete.
I write the code, keep the platform fast and secure, and read every piece of feedback — often answering support messages myself.
